About CiviEase

Christchurch-based support for resource consents, corridor access, traffic management, traffic assessments and practical project delivery across New Zealand.

Why CiviEase exists

CiviEase logo

CiviEase is based in Christchurch and handles the consent, council and road-corridor requirements that sit around construction work. Services extend from consent paperwork and traffic assessments to corridor access, traffic management and practical site support.

Those requirements often connect. A consent application can trigger a traffic assessment. A vehicle crossing can involve a consent check, a CAR, a TMP and a council inspection. Coordinating the pathway through CiviEase helps keep the documentation, approvals and site requirements aligned.

We explain council requirements in clear, practical language and set out the actions relevant to the project. Our plain-English guides also cover common questions about consents, corridor access and traffic management.

How we work

This is the same process whether you're a homeowner with one council letter or a civil contractor with CARs due every week.

  1. Intake. You send the available project information, such as plans, a council letter, an RFI, the site address, work dates or photos.
  2. Scope. We review the available project information and provide a written scope for the CiviEase services that apply.
  3. Fixed-scope quote. You approve a defined piece of work at a known price before we start.
  4. Lodgement. We prepare complete, council-ready applications and lodge them with Christchurch City Council, Selwyn, Waimakariri, Ashburton or ECan, or through MyWorksites for corridor access.
  5. Council liaison. When the Section 92 request arrives (it usually does), we draft the response and keep the clock moving.
  6. Site support. Where the job needs traffic management on the ground, setups, crews, equipment, we handle that too, so consent conditions and site reality match.

Got a letter, plans, or just a site address?

Send it through. We'll review it and respond with a clear scope, usually within one working day.

How CiviEase supports a project

The focus is on clear scope, coordinated documentation and practical communication throughout the work.

Project clarity

Defined requirements

The written scope explains what CiviEase will prepare, what information is needed and how the work connects to the wider project.

Coordination

Connected services

Where consent, corridor access, traffic management or site delivery overlap, they can be coordinated through one CiviEase project.

Communication

Useful updates

Project updates explain what has progressed, what remains outstanding and what action is required next.

Where we're based

Our office is Unit 7, 2 William Lewis Drive, Sockburn, Christchurch 8042, in the middle of the industrial belt where most of our clients' work actually happens.

We're based in Sockburn, working across Canterbury: Christchurch city, Selwyn (Rolleston, Lincoln), Waimakariri (Rangiora, Kaiapoi) and Ashburton, plus Auckland projects where e-lodgement makes distance irrelevant. When Canterbury's regional council is involved, water, discharge or earthworks consents, we handle ECan applications too.

Clear project boundaries

Every project is scoped around its actual requirements:

  • Approval decisions remain with the authority. CiviEase prepares and manages applications but cannot guarantee a council or road-controlling-authority decision.
  • Complex requirements are raised early. Notification, hearings, specialist reports or site constraints are discussed when they become relevant.
  • Scope changes are confirmed first. If further work becomes necessary, its effect on cost and timing is explained before additional work begins.

That means clear advice you can act on, covering everything from consent paperwork to on-site traffic management, with a Christchurch contact you can call when needed.

Ready when you are: send the project details and we will review how CiviEase can assist.
